Brief About Innovation
Vijetha is a silkworm bed disinfectant used during silkworm rearing for combating diseases like grasserie, muscardine, pebrine and other infectious diseases. Vijetha is applied on the silkworm after each moult and after each bed cleaning before feeding. Vijetha can be manufactured using locally available chemicals and machinery. The cost of production is Rs.20.00 and market price is Rs.55.00 per kg. About 4 to 5 kg are required for rearing 100 disease free layings of silkworm.
